Encryption

I was using TrueCrypt for a while. It was cross-platform. Now, I'm looking at GnuPG. TruPax looked like a good choice, particularly for its TC compatibility, but it's for OS X 10.7+.
BoqCryptor?
VeraCrypt is a fork of TrueCrypt, and it is also cross-platform.
Most people just keep using TrueCrypt 7.1 and earlier.

You want to use encryption on your flash drive docs. Let's say you work with technology and you want to bring your online credentials archive to work, that's fine, but this is exactly the type of thing that you want to be encrypted. Encryption isn't magic, but its a very important consideration, regarding your personal info.
