What is the difference between a Republic and a Democracy?
I see these terms used in ways that seem to be synonymous.
A Republic addresses a flaw in Democracy that is referred to as "Excessive Democracy". It is not a game of words, but is none the less a complicated distinction. Do a Google search for: difference between republic democracy.
What is fascism?
Fascism is derived from the word "fasci" (fass'eye). A fasci is an ancient symbol, it is an axe that has a bundle of lighter sticks fastened around the axe's handle, wrapped and bound with a cord.
It appears that there are two schools of fascism.

Where does the funding for scientific research (the 'truths' that get encoded
into our left-brain) come from?
The system requires a constant flow; court cases, prisoners, tax payers,
etc. Without this constant flow the system would lose power.

As citizens, we have no direct influence over the federal government. We can, however
influence local and state governments which do have power that reaches the federal level.
As corrupt as our election system is, it is all that we have - for now.
