Vincent Rosati was born in New Jersey, USA, in 1973. Beginning in 2001, he formally entered into the study of graphic design at the Art Institute of Washington in Virginia. The addition of design principles and techniques would come to compliment his background in darkroom and print production when he found his first design position with Signs Now in 2003.
In this new position, Rosati would expand his background to include digital print as the primary method of output. This sign shop environment would serve to strengthen his knowledge of, what many consider to be a missing element in the study of graphic design, output & application.
This experience also encouraged finding quick and effective methods for producing, or even recreating, quality imagery when supplied with less than ideal source material.
Throughout this time, Rosati spent personal time working in non-linear editing and motion graphics for progressive and interlaced video. Custom wipes and transitions were of particular interest, as well as developing graphical overlays for more formal presentations. With the advent of DVD, another opportunity arose for graphic artists to ply their trade, particularly in the creation of menus. With this, Rosati found another outlet to express creative visuals - the world of multimedia.
Having demonstrated an ability and love for creating artwork from highly detailed specifications, in 2005 Rosati was offered an opportunity to move into the more specialized area of technical illustration in the task of producing pen & ink style renderings for design patents and trademark applications destined for the United States Patent and Trademark Office in Washington, DC.
Spoken as a joke in the patent illustration business, but none the less literally true, that his hands were now registered in the halls of the USPTO.
Later, formal illustration led to advertising illustration for the real estate marketing industry where Rosati was able to combine his illustration skills with his knowledge of full color print.
